摘要
19世纪末20世纪初的英国不仅是西方的广告产业大国,也是世界广告产业的中心之一。英国是世界上最早出现印刷报纸广告、最早出版广告著作、最早颁布成文"广告法"的国家,也是世界上最早成立广告行业自律组织的国家之一。英国在世界广告发展史及当代广告产业发展现况中占有重要地位,值得我们对其进行更多、更深层次的研究。
In late 19th century and early 20th century, Britain was not only a dominant country in western advertising, but also one of the world’s advertising industry center. The earliest printed newspaper ads and advertising book were published in Britain. Moreover, Britain is the first country that enacted the statute"Advertising Law"and set up the national self-regulatory organization in advertising industry. Britain has played an important role in the history of world advertising and the development of contemporary advertising industry, hence it is worth more profound studies.
