摘要
海明威的作品素以简洁洗练的叙事语言而著称于世,其《雨中猫》尤具此代表性,重复叙事则是该短篇一显著特征。该短篇中使用了意象重复、词汇重复和结构重复的手法,以此体现出其惯用的反战主题。本文从该短篇中这三种重复叙事语言的分析入手,探究其重复所隐含的思想蕴含,揭示其主题意义。
Hemingway＇ s works are well known in the world for his unique style of linguistic simplicity and succinctness in narration. Cat in the Rain, one of his short stories, is a representative, which shows fully the nature of his repetitious narration. Repetitions like imaginative repetitions, word repetitions and structural repetitions are here used by Hemingway to establish his usual anti-war theme. This thesis is intended to explore what these three repetitions imply and reveal the theme of Cat in the Rain after the analysis from these three aspects.
