摘要
现代大学的前身是欧洲中世纪大学,中世纪大学的诞生与发展离不开古希腊罗马文化及高等教育的人文主义传统,而人文主义乃源于古希腊罗马文明以教育为本的思想。从历史的视角深入探讨古希腊罗马高等教育中所蕴含的深刻的人文主义精神和思想,在高等教育日益实用化和功利化的当今背景下,在帮助人们理解当代大学在价值选择上的矛盾和困惑以及促发人们重新思考高等教育的性质与功能等方面是有裨益的。
The modern universities result from universities in the middle ages, which cannot be separated from ancient Greek- Roman humanism tradition of culture and higher education. From the perspective of history, the writer explores the profound humanism and ancient Greek or Roman thoughts of higher education. It is expected to be helpful with the choice of values, and reflections of the nature and functions of higher education in the context of increasing utilitarianism of higher education nowadays.
