摘要
与传统相比较,当代高校图书馆的规划和设计开始发生转变:从以符合图书馆运营本身的特点为目的向以促进学生学习为目的转变。之所以发生这样的转变,是因为在过去的20年间,信息技术日新月异,传统的教育观念让位于新的教育观念,新一代学生具有了明显不同于前辈的特点。这些新的发展和变化必然对高校图书馆的规划和设计产生影响。在相关理论逐渐形成的过程中,图书馆工作者大胆地开展了实践(这一点在欧美国家高校比较突出)。探讨和分析这些理论和实践,对规划和设计符合时代发展并能面向未来的图书馆具有重大意义。
In comparison with traditions, the focus of attention of the planning and design of today's academic library has changed : from focusing on the management of library to focusing on the promotion of students'learning. Reasons for such an ongoing change include the rapid development of information technology, the emergence of new educational paradigms, and new generations of learners with characteristics different from their counterpart predecessors. All these new development and changes in the past 20 years have started making impacts on the planning and design of academic libraries. During the formation of relevant theoretical foundations, academic librarians have also made bold endeavors in practice to meet challenges. It is significant to study and analyze these theories and practices for the planning and design of academic libraries that meet the requirements of today and of the future.
