摘要
叶(虫脩),是一类拟态和保护色均十分巧妙的珍稀昆虫。早在公元九世纪,我国唐朝房千里撰写的《投荒杂录》一文中,对该类昆虫已有生动描述和当时人们采捉此虫用作春药的记载。这可能是迄今所知,世界上关于叶(虫脩)形态、习性和利用的最早报道。到十八世纪中叶以后,欧、美学者才开始陆续记述叶(虫脩)。至今,全世界已有30余种。叶(虫脩)绝大多数种类产于亚洲热带潮湿的近海地区。有趣的是,在我国西藏、云南、贵州、广西、海南、广东及江西诸省、自治区,都有其分布。然而,长期以来,关于中国叶(虫脩)的情况,却鲜为人知,实为憾事!本文主要记述我国叶(虫脩)属PAyllium Illiger,丽叶(虫脩)
Phyllium (Pulchriphyllium) sinensis Liu, sp. nov.(figs. 1-2)The new species is nearly allied to Phyllium (Pulchriphyllium) pulchrifolium Serville, 1839 from W. Java, but the posterior angle of the 8th tergite being rounded lobe, these lobes much surpassing the apex of the abdomen; lateral margin of the 9th tergite straight, directed about perpendicularly on the median line of the body; and the ovipositor also distinctly different.Female: General coloration ochraceous, abdomen with some lighter green and darker-brown in the middle. Head somewhat depressed. Antenna is shorter than the head in length (34: 52), composed of 9 joints. Pronotum about as long as broad (42: 41). Mesonotum with a distinct median ridge, granulosa and rugose. Elytra very large, foliaceous, reaching beyond the middle of 7th abdomenal segment. Wings obliterated. The abdomen strongly foliaceously dilated, subrectangular. The lateral margin of 8th tergite rounded, posterior margin deeply curved inward, forming in this way on each side a rounded lobe, these lobes much surpassing the apex of abdomen. Lateral margin of the 9th tergite straight. The 10th tergite subtriangu-lar, apex rounded. The operculum extending nearly to the one third at the base of the 9th tergite. The cercus depressed, spatulate, apex surpassing a little the apex of the 10th tergite. Legs somewhat short, anterior tibiae lobate on both sides.Male: unknown.Measurements (in mm.): Length of body 78, width 39; pronotum length 4.2, width 4.1; mesonotum length 4.9, width 3.8; elytra length 47.5, width 13.5; anterior femora length 13.5, width 15; anterior tibiae length 7.5, width 4.6; median femora length 10.1, width 9.5; median tibiae length 7.0, width 2.7; posterior femora length 10.0, width 5.4; posterior tibiae length 9.5, width 3.5.Holotype (?): Hainan Province, 780m. 3.
