Caofeidian is designed to ultimately operate as climate-neutral. Proposing the integrated management of water, energy, waste and materials, to explore new renewable energy and maximize recycling is an especially important part o[ the plan. It is also a key issue when applying the Swedish SymbiaCity concept and approach. This article gives a special introduction of the integrated planning of energy, water and waste as part of the planning work for the Caofeidian Eco-city how an Ecocycle model is created and the advantages ofthis system solution.
