A survey on measurement technology of Internet bandwidth

摘要 本文主要阐述了带宽指标体系中的一些基本概念及它们之间的相互关系,分别介绍了带宽的测量技术和工具。重点对基于变包、基于SLoPS、基于包对/包列三种技术的测量原理及优缺点进行了分析,最后提出了现有带宽测量技术存在的一些普遍问题及以后研究的方向。 This paper mainly elaborated some basic concepts and their inter-relationship about bandwidth indicator system, introduced the bandwidth measurement technology and tools respectively. It focused on the analysis of the measurement principle of Variable Packet Size, Self-loading Periodic Streams, Packet Pair/Train Dispersion, and the advantages and disadvantages of them. Some common questions and the direction of future research which are existing in bandwidth measurement technology were put forward.
