摘要
20世纪五六十年代的美国高等教育史学扩展了研究的主题,写就了一批史学经典著作。自20世纪70年代以来,美国高等教育史家广泛开展跨学科研究,通过将历史研究方法与其他方法相结合取得了丰硕的成果。此起彼伏的社会运动又将研究者的视角吸引到一些"边缘人群"身上,其中女性高等教育史的成就尤其显著。兴起于70年代的修正派高等教育史学也对传统史学中诸多问题进行了再思考和讨论。
The research of the history of higher education in America has extended the themes in the 1950s and 1960s, and produced a series of classics. From 1970s, the historians of American higher education widely adopted the interdisciplinary research approach and achieved fruitful efforts through the combination of the methods of history and other subjects. The increasing social movements urged the historians to shift their attention to the "marginal group", especially the history of women's higher education. In addition, the school of revisionism, which started in the early 1970s, made some reflection and discuss on the problems of traditional themes.
