摘要
老子的旨趣在于研究万事万物,包括社会历史的可能态势,归趋则在认识最佳态势上。最佳态势既是事物变化的最优趋势,也是存在的最优条件。"最佳"指的就是"正常态",简言之为"常态",常态的本质就是自然态。老子的"自然"不等于大自然、规律、事物、实体、元素、自然现象等等,而是指这种正常、稳恒、优化、动态平衡的态势。所谓老子哲学,可以说是关于事态或态势的哲学,而"自然"的理念旨在倡导掌握和服从最佳变化趋势。
The Objective of Laozi lies in investigating into all things both the natural and historic with their states of affairs, and his ultimate aim is to comprehend the optimum situation of everything, which is the optimal one among diverse possible forms of change of a thing, as well as the most suitable conditions for a certain being.Precisely, this kind of situation or condition means the normal state and trend, namely normality. Laozi's ziran concept is different form those conceptions such as Nature, natural law, particular thing, entity, element and natural appearance, etc. , instead is to mean a certain normal, steady, optimized, dynamic equilibrium. Accordingly,Laozi's philosophy can be referred to as one kind of philosophy concerned with states and trends, and the notion of ziran means the optimal state and trend.
