摘要
迄今为止,查尔斯.曼宁与英国学派的关系依然是一个颇具争议、尚无定论的问题。对该问题的不同解答,实际上反映了学者们对英国学派起源的不同解释。查尔斯.曼宁对国际社会的原创性理论思考及其对马丁.怀特和赫德利.布尔等人的影响,使得他成为英国学派的成员之一,但是曼宁的"怪异"风格和种族主义政治立场导致一些英国学派学者与他在学派归属上保持了一定距离。
Charles Manning’s relationship with the English School has been a disputed issue by far. The various answers in effect have shown different interpretations of the origins of the English School. Manning’s original thinking on the international society and his influence on Martin Wight, Hedley Bull and other English School scholars have made himself a member of the English School. However, it was because of his 'idiosyncratic' style and racist attitude that some English School scholars have kept a distance away from him.
