摘要
本文对中国林业的现状及其因在林破坏而引发的一系列生态和环境、经济和社会等问题进行了评述，强调指出可持续发展特别是林业可持续发展是解决上述问题的必然选择，并从生态学、经济学、社会学等方面论述了林业可持续发展的目标、准则及对策。
Based on the discussion of the current situation of Chinese forestry and a series of ecological, environmental, economic, and social problems, the author emphasized the importance for forests and forestry in social and economic development in China, pointed out that sustainable development, especially the sustainable development of forestry, is the inevitable choice to solve the problems, and demonstrated and expounded the objec-tives, criteria, and strategies of sustaining forestry from the point of ecology, economics,and sociology.
