摘要
清代以前,湘西民族地区的学校教育极其薄弱。随着中央权力的进入,为保证其统治的普遍性、长久性,清朝统治者在湘西积极倡导教育,一定程度上实现了湘西民族地区学校教育的民间化、平等化,促进了义学的发展。
Before the Qing Dynasty, school education in Xiangxi ethnic region was very backward. With the entering of the central power, in order to guarantee popularity and long term ruling, the ruler of the Qing Dynasty actively advocated education in Xiangxi, which to some extent, realized popularity and equality of school education and promoted the development of compulsory education.
