An ionomer,lightly sulfonated polystyrene neutralized with zinc acetate,was partially miscible with PC and LCP respectively through the specific interaction.Its addition into PC/LCP blends was conducted in order to compatibilize the blends.With increasing SPS the Tg′s corresponding to PC decreased,unveiled by DSC and DMA. SEM micrographs showed fine dispersity of the LCP phase in the PC matrix.All the results have shown that the compatibilization achieved by the addition of SPS.
