摘要
《西方修辞学》一书于2007年1月由上海外语教育出版社出版。本书系统地介绍了西方修辞学的理论和实践，是一部高质量的修辞学理论著作。总体来说，本书具有五个方面鲜明的特色：1）全面系统，科学严谨；2）层次分明，重点突出；3）述中带论，有所创新；4）跨学科研究，覆盖面广；5）对比喻辞格有集中的论述。
Western Rhetoric was published in January, 2007. Being a high-quality theoretical work on rhetoric, the book gives a comprehensive review of the theories and practices of western rhetoric. This book is endowed with the following characteristics. 1 ） It is very systematic and precise. 2）It has clear arrangement and gives prominence to the key points. 3） It is original. 4） It covers a wide range of readers with its cross-disciplinary perspective. 5） There is an intensive discussion on a hot topic - metaphor.
