摘要大都市区是城市化发展到较高级阶段时的一种城市地域形式。在美国、日本、德国等西方发达国家,大都市区是重要的统计地域单元,并有官方权威的定义和界定标准。而在国内学术界,学者们对大都市区及其相关概念的理解却十分混乱。在理清这些混乱认识的基础上,本文从功能区域的角度对大都市区概念内涵进行界定,分析大都市区与相关概念的区别,并且对大都市区的界定标准进行初步探讨。 The metropolitan area is the advanced form of urbanization. It is a critical territory statistical unit in the Western countries, such as the United States, Japan, Germany, and so on, where scholars＇ studies on metropolitan areas are built upon systematic and common language, whereas in China, scholars＇ understandings of it are still under-developed and sometimes even confusing. The paper first teases out and clarifies the issues in existing Chinese scholarship on metropolitan area, then re-defines the concept of it in the term of functional region, and lastly analyzes the difference of relational concepts and the standard definition of it.
