摘要
杜赞奇《文化、权力与国家》一书直面后现代主义对中国研究的挑战,通过后现代理论视角对现代叙述的深入,达致关键概念的历史语境转换,以现代与后现代双重视角解读的方式,成功剖析了国家政权建设历史过程中国家和乡村社会权力互动关系,展示出文化符号的权力底蕴,体现了其权力解释框架的创新;杜氏研究策略结合现代历史宏大叙述与后现代小叙事,在对中国历史作出全面而立体描摹的同时,成功展现复线历史观与福柯方法观在中国研究领域的应用前景,其史料分析范式的突破令人瞩目。
Prasenjit Duara's Culture, Power and the State responses to the post-modernism challenges Chinese study confronts. Penetrating into the modern narratives through the post- modernism and transforming the historical contexts of critical concepts, it successfully portrays the inter-actions between the national and country community power during the historical constructing procedure of state regime, presents the connotative power information of cultural symbols and the innovational frame on the power interpretation, in both the modern and post-modernism angles. His analysis strategy, combining the modern historical macro-narratives and the post-modernism micro- narratives, provides a thorough and solid picture of Chinese history. It represents the possible application of bifurcate historical method and the Foucauh methodology in the Chinese study field, whose analyzing paradigm on historical data is extremely outstanding.
