The classification of explosive materials, sub-classification and grouping of explosive gases, classification of hazardous area are outlined. The acceptable types of protection and corresponding standardization achievements in China, Chinese administrative regulations on explosion protection, certification system of explosion protected products and detailed application procedures are introduced.
