Driving Mechanism of AC EO and Calculation of Velocity

摘要 在阐述电极极化机制的基础上说明了交流电渗流的形成过程;通过建立非对称电极等效电路和理论模型,获得了交流电渗流微泵的流速的计算公式;通过分析,解释了对称电极虽然能产生局部电渗流但不能形成流速的现象。研究结果为进一步分析和研究交流电渗流微泵提供了理论基础。 The forming process of AC electroosmosis (AC EO) flow was explained during exploring the mechanism of electro polarization. With building the equivalent circuit and theoretical model of asymmetry microelectrodes, the calculation formula of the time--average velocity of AC EO micropump was gained and through analysis it explained symmetrical microelectrodes can produce local electroosmosis flow but its time--average velocity is zero, which offers the theoretical basis for futher analyzing and researching AC electroosmosis micropump.
