摘要
约数是模糊限制语的一个重要组成部分。对约数的研究,尤其是对英汉约数表达方式的对比与分析,有助于更好地把握英汉约数之异同,并对英汉翻译有着指导作用。本文在借鉴已有理论的基础上,对英汉约数表达方式进行了对比分析,提出了英语约数词or so在汉语中的对应词“来”,并对“来”在汉语中的位置以及对汉语不能约数连用的说法提出了笔者的看法。此外,就某些含有约数的模糊语言形式的翻译提出了设想。
The present paper discusses similarities and differences of approximators between Chinese and English. Based on previous theories in this field, approximators of the two languages are compared and contrasted. Results of the study indicate that, contrary to the viewpoint of some researchers, the English appreximator, ＂or so＂, has its counterpart in Chinese, i. e. , ＂lai＂. Some cases of double approximation are also found in Chinese. This paper also introduces some methods of rendering vague numerals, including appreximators.
