摘要
舍饲条件下的布尔山羊在择食方面表现出喜咸味、甜味、厌腥味；喜干脆易折或鲜嫩多汁的饲料，厌柔韧难切或营养贫乏的多纤维禾本科饲料；钟爱树叶和作物藤蔓等特性。黄昏时采食达到最高峰，清晨次之。环境气温影响其采食量、饮水量、休息、运动、繁殖行为以及体温、呼吸、心跳等。极端高温和潮湿对其生存不利。长期舍饲易出现呆板症，且体质下降。故繁殖公母羊应以放牧为主，适当补饲，商品羊只可采取短期舍饲育肥。
The behaviors and habits of Boer goat in pen-keeping condition were observed in great detail. The results indicated that the goats liked eating salty and sweet taste forage, and disliked eating forage with the smelling of fish. The dry, breakable hay and juicy forages will be better than the pliable and tough or innutritious grasses. The peak of intake was at dusk, and the second peak was early in the morning. The intake frequency, feed and water consumption, rest and motion, reproduction behaviors and heart rates, respiratory rates and rectal temperature were affected by the environmental temperature. The high temperature and humidity would be harmful to the goat's health. After long time pen keeping, the goats would be stiff and weak It was suggusted that the breeding bucks and does should be put out to pasture and the commercial goats can be keeped in pens with a suitable condition..
