摘要
目的通过对血清和脑脊液(CSF)基质金属蛋白酶(MMPs)水平检测,探讨其对小儿化脓性脑膜炎(化脑)与病毒性脑炎(病脑)的鉴别诊断价值。方法采用ELISA法检测18例化脑及22例病脑患儿急性期血清和CSF中MMP-2、MMP-9水平,并与正常对照组比较。结果化脑、病脑患儿血清和CSF中MMP-2、MMP-9水平显著高于正常对照组(P<0.001),且化脑组显著高于病脑组(P<0.001)。结论血清和CSF中MMP-2、MMP-9检测,对小儿化脑与病脑有早期诊断和鉴别诊断价值,为临床尽早用药提供实验室依据。
Objective To obtain early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of purulent meningitis(PM) from viral encephalitis(VE) in children through determination of matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) levels in serum and cerebrospinal fluid(CSF). Methods The levels of MMP - 2 and MMP - 9 in serum and CSF were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in 18 children with PM in acute phase, 22 children with VE in acute phase, and 20 normal children. Results The levels of MMP - 2 and MMP - 9 in ,serum and CSF in children with PM and VIE were significantly higher than those in controls( P〈0. 001 ), and the levels in children with PM were significantly higher than those in children with VE ( p 〈 0. 001 ). Conclusion Determination of MMP - 2 and MMP - 9 levels could provide a reliable means of early diagnosis and differential diagnosis of PM from VE in children and proper treatment might be earlier implemented.
