摘要
译介活动中的赞助人因素给我们提供了一个研究翻译的新视角。作为文学系统的外部因素,赞助人的地位、权威远远大于普通译者,操纵着译介的兴衰、翻译的选材、翻译策略及翻译方法,赞助人的操纵亦可用来解释译者的不忠现象。
The study of patronage offers us a novel perspective to study translation. As a key factor outside the literary system, patronage whose status and power are well above the translator manipulates the ups and downs of translation practice, the choice of the original, translation strategy and method. The manipulation by patronage can also account for unfaithfulness in translation practice.
