摘要
本文讨论了地下工程的一个新领域——“非开挖工程学”的定义、性质、研究对象和研究目的及该学科的特点，描述了该学科的基本框架。指出了我国非工挖工程面临的机遇和挑战。
This paper discusses the definition, connotation, research objective, purpose and the characteristics of the new developed subject, trenchless technology. The basic scientific frame of this new subject is described. The author also points out the opportunities and challenges faced with the trenchless technology in China.

马保松，男，1968年生，地质工程专业博士（博士后），中国地质大学教授、系副主任。目前主要从事非开挖工程领域的科研和教学工作，主持国家自然科学基金等项目若干项，为本科生主讲“非开挖工程学”课程。
