China's Eleventh Five-year Planning issued recently envisaged the government's priority in the coming years as focusing on developing cycling economy and developing new energy and material to replace the traditional energy. Solar, wind, nuclear and biology are surely the hot point of energy investment. Corn Plastic(PLA) has now become one of the focal point for more and more people because com, as a new brand of regeneration energy, could be used to produce plastic and thus greatly relieve China, as well as the world, from the heavy rely on oil. As the price of oil is keeping on increasing, the PLA in now more and more accepted and considered feasible because its environmental as well. In the future, PLA could be widely used in packaging, textile, medical and treatment, toy, automobile and many other industries and promised a great marketing demanding. But due to some technical problems, PLA production now is still too costly comparatively speaking and can only be used in the fields of high-quality plastic products and biological medicines. But latest technology breakthrough in the PLA production method - the so-called 'one-step method' - will change the problem of high-cost and bring this industry to a turning point of vigorous development.
