摘要
通过对肯塔基草地早熟禾（ＰｏａｐｒａｔｅｎｓｉｓＬ．ｃｖ．Ｋｅｎｔｕｃｋｙ）坪用性状的比较试验证明，该品种株丛低矮整齐，颜色墨绿，叶绿素含量为２９３ｍｇ／ｇ鲜重，与其它品种色泽有明显区别，可作为运动场和绿地草坪建植及分色分带，织边镶嵌等的专用品种。其枝条形成能力和干物质生物量反馈量次于瓦巴斯草地早熟禾而高于菲尔金草地早熟禾。具有早熟、成熟整齐，种子产量高，千粒重大等优异性状，有利于种子生产，是值得推广的优良草坪草品种。
The results from comparison experiment of turf characteritics on Poa Pratensis L.W.Kentucky indicated that the clump were short,uniform and dark-green,obviously distmquished from other varieties.The content of the cholorophyll is 2 93mg/g.Therefore,the variety could be used spelially in cultivating sportsland,greenland torf and distinquishing colors and belts.The branch formation ability and feedback content of dry matter biomass on kentucky were inferior to wabash and superior to Fylking.The excellant characteristics such as early-mature ,unformity,high seed-yield and thousand-grain weight of kentucky are much benefit to seed production,and worthy to be extended.
