摘要
为制订一个比较全面的儿童体格测量指标，以评价儿童的生长规律。１９９３年在香港进行了较为完整的横断面生长体格测量调查，为出生至１８岁的２５００６名男女儿童（青少年）制定了各自的年龄别体重、年龄别身高、身高别体重、青春期性发育及头围的３、１０、２５、５０、７５、９０及９７百分位曲线图。其家庭背景均具代表性。结果表明，本次调查对象与香港３０年前同龄儿童相比，平均身高增高２～４ｃｍ，体重增加５～９ｋｇ，月经初潮的平均年龄提早半年。说明近年来香港儿童（青少年）生长与营养状况已有明显的变化。使用合适的百分位数标准图表有利于追踪个别儿童的健康状况。
Inordertoworkoutappropriategrowthstandardsforchildren,weperformedaterri-torywidegrowthsurveyinHongKongin1993,fromwhichthestandardsofweightforage,heightforage,weightforheight,sexualmaturationfrombirthto18years,boysandgirls,wereconstruct-ed.MeansandSDsarepresentedastablesandthe3,10,25,50,75,90and97percentilesassmoothedcurves.Atotalof25006individualswereexamined,usingstandardizedmethods.TheywererepresentativeoftheHongKongpopulation.Theaverageeighteenyearadolescentswere2～4cmtalerand5～9kgheavier,evenmenarchewassixmonthsearlierthanthosethirtyyearsago.Suchchangeingrowthandnutritionalstatuswererelatedtoachangeinlifestyle.Percentilecurvesareparticularlyusefulinthesequentialmonitoringofachild′shealth,diagnosingdiseasesandassess-ingtheeffectivenessoftreatment.
