With field investigation through regularly sampling in selected habitats in the Fengkai County of Guangdong Province from March of 1992 to April of 1993, the re-sults showed that three tachinid flies Carcelia matsukarehae, Burmanomyia beesoni and Blepharipa zebina were dominant for controlling pine caterpillar Dendrolimus punctutus. The analysis of natural parasitic dynamic of three tachinid flies to Dendrolimus punctatus have been made. The results displayed that the parasitic rate was very differ-ent in different habitats, the parasitic rate of C matsukarehae and B. beesoni was higher than that of B. zebina. In the habitat which the vegetation was dense, the air humidity was high and the diversity of community was abundant, the total parasitic rate of three tachinid flies, to the overwintering generation of Dendrolimus punctatus was 77.78%, to the 1st generation was 85. 32% , and to the 2nd generation was 82. 14%. In the habi-tat which the pine crisscrossed the farmland, the total parasitic rate of flies was ranged from 57.86% to 63. 83% , in the habitat which the pine was younger and the vegetation was thin, the total parasitic rate of flies was lowest, between 13.72% and 21. 26%.The seasonal change of parasitic rate of three tachinid flies was closely related to air temperature in the year. The parasitic rate of C. matsukarehae was high in the overwin-tering generation of pine caterpillar, but that of B. beesoni was high in the 1st and 2nd generation. The habitat, which the vegetation was dense with higher air humidity and the diversity of community was abundant, was advantageous to the reproduction of tachinid flies. As a result, the natural parasitic rate was higher.
