The Theory of Semantic Prosody

摘要语义韵律问题,是90年代以来国外语言学界尤其是词汇语义学、词典学研究比较重视的一个新课题。语义韵律又叫语义协调,是一种特殊的搭配现象:它是指某些词语由于经常同具有某种语义特征的语言单位共现而产生的一种语义特征。本文介绍这一理论的来源、理论框架、研究意义。 Semantic Prosody is a new field in the foreign linguistics circles, especially in lexical semantics and lexicology since the 1990＇ s. Semantic Prosody, also named Semantic Harmony, is a special collocation phenomenon. It refers a kind of semantic feature produced because some words often appear together with some linguistic unit with the same semantic feature. This paper introduces the theory＇s origin, frame and its significance.
