摘要
目前,学术界存在一种争鸣观点,即对待英文字母缩略词应该采取什么样的态度,是纯洁本族语言还是兼蓄并收?对待这些字母词,是不是应该将其翻译成本族语言?对于大众出版物中夹杂使用字母词的现象,我们应当采取客观的态度,要依据具体情况而定。同时,中文大众出版物中字母词使用的泛滥可能引发语言文字污染,应该引起我们足够的警惕。
This article begins with the reasons why letter words are popularly used in the mass media publications, and with some solid examples analyzes this phenomenon and concludes that such use of letter words should be treated objectively and be followed with explanations or full-length words in different circumstances.
