本文提出了一种自适应时分脉冲液晶驱动技术 ,可以由逻辑电平产生驱动波形 ,无需多个偏置电压。该技术的关键是生成段电极波形 ,即确定一帧内段电极波形中的脉冲个数和相应的时隙位置。文章详细讨论了驱动电压波形的设计原理和编程算法 ,并给出了设计实例和具体应用。时分脉冲技术可以根据电源电压和环境温度的变化 ,调整液晶驱动波形 ,保证合适的显示对比度 ,非常适合低成本和便携式产品。
The self-adaptive time division pulse technique and a new dynamic drive method was developed for LCD. Instead of usual multi bias values, two logic levels were used to form the drive waveforms. The key point of this technique was how to generate segment drive waveforms. Whether a pixel was displayed or blank was determined by the numbers and positions of segment drive pulses in a frame. The detailed design principle and algorithm for drive waveforms were discussed. The drive waveforms can be adapted according to the power voltage or ambient temperature. An application example of this technique in full-automatic electronic sphygmomanometers was also introduced. The results were illustrated by diagrams and tables. This technique is valuable for low-cost and portable products.
