英语是英国文化的产物,因此必然要烙上不列颠文化的印记。剖析英语词汇这块英国文化的化石,我们可以领悟英国这个“岛国”所特有的文化内容。
As products of British culture, English inevitably bears its cultural imprint. This paper attempts to show that by studying English vocabulary——“fossil' of British culture, we can have a glimpse of the culture characteristic of this Island country.
