摘要
《魏书·序纪》是考察鲜卑拓跋部早期历史的珍贵史料。但是,由于它所采口传史的叙事特征及其限制,也由于建立北魏之后的拓跋族在追述其先世历史时所受到的中原传统政治文化的影响,这篇历史资料包含着诸多难解之处。本文试图在细读“序纪”的基础上,对拓跋先世史上的若干重大问题稍作清理,使我们的认识能更接近当日的实相。
Xu Ji , or “Prelude to the Annals” of Wei Shu ,is a vital source for studying the early history of Tuoba, which is a clan of the Xianbei people and the founder of the Northern Wei Dynasty. There remain, however, numerous difficult points regarding this source, due to the limitations of the oral tradition upon which it was based, and also to the influence of Chinese political culture on later descendants of Tuoba who were trying to reconstruct their own early history. Through a close reading of the text, this article attempts to clarify some of the major problems in the interpretation of early Tuoba history.
