台湾长期以来处于小农经济 ,在农业现代化过程中 ,农民组织扮演着极为重要的角色。台湾重要的农民组织有“农会”、“水利会”、农业合作社、“渔会”及农民产销班等。台湾农民组织之角色任务有 :上、下游农企业之经营 ;为农民与企业双方服务 ;为农民与有关方面沟通之桥梁 ;
Traditionally Taiwan's agriculture is operated in a small-farm system. In the process of agricultural modernization, the farmers' organizations have played important roles.The major farmers' organizations in Taiwan are:'the Farmers' Associations', 'the Irrigation Associations', the Agricultural Cooperatives, the Fishermen's Associations, and the Farmers'Production and Marketing Groups. The roles played by the farmers' organizations are: 1. To engage in the up stream and down stream agro business. 2. To provide the services to both the farmers and the agro business. 3. To coordinate the relationships between the farmers and the governments. 4. To carry out the agricultural extension and farmers education activities.
