AbstractLAO JUN*(Department of Landscape and Environmental Science, ShanghaiAgriculture College. Shanghai 201101 )A new species and a new record of phytoseiid mites from Mt. Tianmu,Zheji-ang Province, in 1988 are described in this paper. The type specimens are kept inDepartment of Environmental Biology and Resources Biology, Fudan University.Amblyseius (Amblyseius) tianmuensis sp. nov. (figs. l-5)This species is similar to A. tsugawai Ehara, 1959, A. alpiola Ehara, 1982and A. indocalami Zhu et Chen, 1983. But it differs from tsugawai in the shapeof the spermatheca. This species differs from alpiola in dorsal shield smooth anddiffers from indocalami in the relative length of seta Z4, Z5.Holotype , paratype , July 13, 1988, Mt.
