摘要
在系统论述南海地震活动特征的基础上，指出在今后数十年内本区正处于地震活跃时期，有可能发生多次强烈地震，这将对广东沿海地区造成严重的震害威胁．提出在制定广东海洋开发计划和在海洋经济工作中，应充分重视防震减灾问题．为此，作者提出了３项建议．
In this paper,the systematical discuss on the characteristics of seismicities in the South China Sea indicated that in this region it is going through an active seismic period in the coming tens years.There are possibilities to burst some earthquakes with magnitude above Ⅵ or even Ⅶ,and that will caused a serious seismic threat in the coastal area of Guangdong Province.Therefore,in the work to sketch the ocean-development plan and to establish theocean-economics of Guangdong we must pay our attention considerably to the earthquake protection and the reduction of seismic hazard.For the reasons,the auther raises three proposals.
