发现中孔ZSM-5沸石能极好地从C_4芳烃中分离对二甲苯和乙苯.它们吸附对二甲苯的容量和选择性都很高. 在最佳的SiO_2/Al_2O_3比700时,对二甲苯的选择性与乙苯的选择性之比βp/e为5.5.用一种模拟重整产物得到的对二甲苯的竞争吸附容量为120mg/g.当对二甲苯吸附量分别达到50mg/g和90mg/g时,βp/e急剧增加,随后达到平衡. 对二甲苯的高选择性及其随对二甲苯吸附量而变的现象,据信与对二甲苯在晶体孔穴中的独特的填充方式有关.
Medium pore ZSM-5 zeolites were found to be excellent for separation of p-xylene and ethylbenzene from C_8 aromatics. Their adsorption capacity and selectivity for p-xylene were high. The selectivity for p-xylene over ethylbenzene,β_(p/c), was 5.5 at the optimum SiO_2/Al_2O_3 of 700. The competitive adsorption capacity for p-xylene from a simulated reformer product was 120 mg/g. The p-xylene selectivity, β(p/c),increased sharply and then leveled off when p-xylene loadings reached 50mg/g and 90 mg/g, respectively. The high p-xylene selectivity and its dependence on p-xylene loading are believed to be related to the unique packing of p-xylene in the crystalline cavities.
