摘要
现代月季(Rosa hybrida Hort.)种子实为瘦果。高效液相色谱分析表明,现代月季的果皮和种皮内脱落酸(ABA)的含量较高(分别为0.85和1.38μg/g),而其胚中的ABA含量很低(0.18μg/g)。因此,可以认为现代月季种子休眠的主要原因是果皮和种皮内含有较高水平的ABA。
Anatomical observation and in vitro culture revealed that the embryo of rose (Rosa hybrida) is mature and not dormant. The pericarp of achene is tough and impermeable, preventing the germination of embryo to a certain exten. However, softening of pericarp by hydrochloric acid failed to cause achene to germinate. This indicates that neither mechanical restraint nor impermeability of pericarp is the major cause of achene dormancy. Extract of pericarp of rose markedly inhibited the germination of Brassica pekinensis seeds. High-performance liquid chromatography analysis revealed that the contents of abscisic acid(ABA)in pericarp and testa are both relatively high (0.85 and 1. 3 8 μg· g^(-1)), and the ABA content in embryo is very low (0.18μg· g^(-1)). It is therefore suggested that the relatively high level of ABA in the pericarp and testa is the major cause of the achene dormancy.
