葱蝇是大蒜的毁灭性害虫.在苍山县每年发生二代,以蛹在土中越冬和越夏.成虫发生适宜的自然温度为日平均气温10~20℃.成虫羽化鼓额顶土钻出地面.成虫取食花蜜,卵大部产在蒜茎基部或鞘芽附近的土缝中,成虫产卵和幼虫生活喜欢干燥的土壤环境.秋季栽蒜时用敌百虫、乐果、甲基异硫磷等喷拌过筛的干粪土,溜入蒜沟内预防幼虫,覆土后地面喷敌敌畏或敌百虫粉消灭成虫,可控制苗期危害.春季蒜薹露尾前用敌敌畏拌麦糠撒入蒜地或喷敌百虫粉消灭成虫,露尾期用乐果或敌百虫兑水顺垄溜浇,可控制蒜头受害.
Onion maggot(Hylemya antiqua Meigen) is a destructive pest of garlic. It reproduces two generations a year in area of Cangshan, and overwinters or oversummers as pupa in soil. The suitable temperature of adult occurrence is 10-20℃ in a day averaged. The adult mainly feeds on nectar and lays eggs in soil gap round the base of garlic. Dry soil environments are pleased for femalea to lay eggs and larvae to live. The larvae could be controlled by dressing sieved dry manure-soil treated with trichlorphon, Rogor etc. into garlic furrow at planting in autumn. The adult could be killed by dusting trichlorphon powder on garlic plants or broadcasting wheat chaff treated with DDVP on field before emergence of garlic stem in spring.
