摘要
蕃兵是由北方沿边熟户蕃部组成的少数民族军队 ,产生于宋夏战争时期。由于特殊的历史环境 ,北宋重视蕃兵建设 ,形成了较为完备的蕃兵制度 ,并将其纳入到拥宋反夏、御寇镇叛的轨道 ,但蕃兵却受到北宋的多方面歧视。蕃兵的建立 ,是宋代兵制改革的创新。
Fanbing(soldiers from ethnic-groups) were minority army composed of varous ethnic groups which had been much inflenunced by Han cultures along the frontier of Northern China. It appeared during the war period of the Song Dynasty and the Xia Dynasty.Because of the special historical situation,the Northern Song Dynasty paid much attention to the establishment of Fanbing and fromed more complete Fanbing System, which had them into the war orbit to support the Song Dynasty against the Xia Dynasty as well as to defend the invader and supress the rebell. But the Fanbing was discriminated by the Northern Song Dynasty. The establishment of Fanbing was full of originality in the reform of army system of the Song Dynasty.
