摘要
通用设计(universaldesign)的概念由美国建筑师R.L.马赛(RonaldL.Mace)于20世纪80年代初期提出,为尽可能多的人提供没有障碍的环境,更广泛地包容人类的各种活动。文章对该设计理念进行了分析,并对该理念为中国的住宅建设所带来的启示做出了探讨。
Ronald L.Mace, an American architect, brought forward the conception of òuniversal designó in the early 1980s. Universal design is aframework for the barrier free design ofplaces, things and information to be usable by thewidest range ofpeopleoperating inthe widest range of situations. This article makes analysis of universal design and its enlightenment on Chinesehousingconstruction.
