摘要
这是一项涉及中国城市的基础研究。本文整理提供2000年五普口径666个城市的“市人口”数据,并以新的城市人口规模进行了一些城市规模分布的初步分析,试图通过这些基础工作重构我国城市人口的规模结构。
It is a fundamental research about Chi-nese cities. This paper provides the data of city popu-lation (shi renkou) of all 666 cities in China based onthe 2000 census criteria. The urban size distributionsof China under new database are also analyzed. In thisway, the authors attempt to reconstruct Chinas cityhierarchy through this fundamental research.
