摘要
论述了元数据的概念与特征以及元数据的类型与功能,并从4个方面介绍了元数据在数字图书馆中的应用,包括信息资源的组织,信息资源的检索,为用户实现知识导航,数字图书馆数据库的设计与维护。
This paper discusses on the conceptions, features, types and functio ns of the metadata in detail, and introduces the application of the metadata in digital library including the organization of the information resources, the ret rieval of the information resources, the knowledge navigation for the users, and the design and maintenance of library's database.
