摘要
在国务院国际问题研究中心总干事、上海国际问题研究中心名誉总干事宦乡同志的倡导下,由上海国际问题研究中心、上海市国际关系学会、上海外国语学院、中国现代国际关系研究所、复旦大学美国研究中心、上海旅游服务开发公司、上海旅游局培训中心七个单位联合举办的上海国际关系理论讨论会于1987年8月9日～13日在上海举行。来自北京,上海、广州、南京、杭州、武汉等地的代表共83人参加了会议。会议宗旨是以马克思主义为指导,探讨建立有中国特色的国际关系学体系。
The summary recorded the extensive discussions at the first seminar on theory of international relations in our country about establishing the system of science of international relations with distinctive Chinese feature and the international environments in the 1990s, and generalized the importance and purpose of establishing the system of science of international relations, its research objects, its theoretical frame, category, research methods and the motive forces of the development of international relations. The summary holds that in the wake of the development of international relations and the expansion of international contacts of our country, it is an urgent need to establish our country's system of science of international relations, which should provide a scientific exposition of a series of important theoretical and practical questions of international relations, such as, the behavior subject of international relations, state interests, international community, international setup, international structure, the motive forces of the development of international relations, state power, balance of power and polari-era.The study of science of international relations should be conducted under Maxist method of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, the principle of integrating theory with practice and concrete methods of investigating international affairs, as well as introducing and using the new modern scientific methods for reference.
