摘要
A great deal of rice remians have been unearthed from 8000 to 9000 years old sites in the Dongting lake area of Hunan Province. It indicates that, this paper believes, this area had already entered a new stage of development of agriculture and thus the earliest cultivation of rice should be earlier and may have been in the area of lower latitude.
