AbstractWhen was the first county built in Shan(now the Sanmenxia City)?While some people believe that it was in 390B.C.or 364B.C.,others suppose that it was in the Han Dynasty.Based on archaeological material and some related documents,this paper suggests that Shan became a county in the later Warring States period or in 240 B.C.
