摘要
简介了机器翻译的历史和现状。提出机器翻译是世界性科技难题，当前特别需要翻译家介入。而翻译家也要多应用机译软件，共同推进我国机译事业的发展。
A brief introduction concerning the historical and current situation was made, and it was proposed that Machine Translation(MT) is a tough subject in the field of S＆T which has gained worldwide concern, and that it specially needs the involvement of translators. Meantime, translators also called on to make more use of the MT softwares, and make their own contribution to our MT development.
