摘要
In February 1998, the Zhangqiu Municipal Museum excavated a mural tomb of the YuanDynasty at Qingye Village, Wenzu Town, Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province. This northsouth vaulted brick masonry mural tomb imitates the timber tomb structure. It comprises a passage, a vaulted passage, a chamber, and a coffin bed (the tomb passage has not been excavated). The walls, vaulted ceiling and the timber imitation structure are painted with various patterns of red, black and blue on a white background. More than 40 artifacts, including a land transaction document, were recovered during the excavation. This is the only tomb containing a written document among the one dozen or so tombs excavated in Zhangqiu. It provides invaluable material data for the study of the burial customs and ancient place names of Zhangqiu at the Yuan Dynasty.
