摘要
西汉占领敦煌之初，这一地区属酒泉郡，仅置都尉、候官设防布戍，并无县乡。继从内地发遣罪犯及平民实边，初由都尉、候官就近开辟垦区，安置屯垦。后在此基础上建立敦煌、广至等县及敦煌郡。广至县原是在宜禾都尉昆仑候官垦区基础上建立的。昆仑候官垦区在今安西县六工破城以西、长城以南、悬泉山──截山以北，广至县境及县城即在此区域之内。清末以来，将广至县城比定在安西县截山以南踏实乡破城子。此城面积狭小，不够县城规模，又处在冥安县辖境之内，殊为不合。笔者等近在截山以北广至县境内找到一座大城，其位置、规模、风候特征及存废年代等皆与广至城条件相符，故断此城为广至城。至此，汉敦煌郡六座县城全部得到落实。
In the early days of Dunhuang under the rule of the Wectern Han, Guangzhi area usedto belong to Jiuquan Prefecture. Only the prefecture was set up, no county and townshipthere. Then criminals and common common were sent from the interior to Guangzhi to openup wasteland and set up reclamation area. Later, Dunhuang and Guangzhi counties and Dunhuang prefecture were set up. Guangzhi county was set up on the basis of reclamation areasof Yihe prefecture and Kunlun nobility. The ancient reclamation area is now the place towest of Liugong Pocheng of Anxi county, south Of the Great Wall, North of Manut Quanshan-Jieshan. Guangzhi county and Guangzhi county town were within the area. Since theQing dynasty, Quangzhi county has been considered in Pochengzi Of Tashi township, southOf Jieshan of Anxi county. But it does not tally with the actual situation because the place istoo small to be scale of a county and was within the boundaries of Minan county at that time.The author of the paper finds the site of a big town which is north of Jieshan with the boundaries of Guangzhi county. It agrees with the ancient Guangzhi county in place, scale, feature and time. So he considers that the big town is Guangzhi. Uo to now, the place wheresix county towns of Dunhuang prefecture of the Han dynasty were has been all decided.
