盖尔·约翰逊 (D .GaleJohnson)是著名农业经济学家 ,美国国家科学院院士、美国芝加哥大学经济学教授、北京大学名誉教授。 2 0 0 0年 3月 2 5日 ,约翰逊教授在亚洲资本论坛主办的“2 1世纪中国农业经济与资本市场高级研讨会”上 ,就中国参加世界贸易组织将对中国农业产生的影响作了学术报告。该报告从其特有的角度指出中国加入世贸组织后所面对的种种挑战 ,对未来中国农业及农产品结构调整、提高国际竞争力提出了有针对性的建议。本文摘要编发 ,供参考。
D. Gale Johnson is a famous agricultural economist, academician of American National Academies of Sciences, Professor of Economics in Chicago University, U.S.A. and honorary Professor on Beijing University. On March 25th, 2000, at the Senior Seminar on Chinese Agricultural Economy and Capital Market for 21st Century sponsored by Asian Capital Forum, Professor Johnson delivered an academic report on influences on Chinese Agriculture caused by China's joining WTO. The report illustrates the status quo of Chinese agriculture and agricultural economy, points out from a special point of view the challenges of various kinds faced by Chinese Agriculture after China joins WTO and provides adequate proposal aiming at adjustment in Chinese agriculture, the structure of agricultural products and enhancement of international competitive competence.
