In the light of the 9th five-years program and the prospective goal for 2010,on the basis of theories of predictive science,demography,history,economics and sociology,taking the world's social sports development as a model,this paper retrospects the development of sports in China since the open-up and reform;and analyze various factors that affected the development of social sports in China.From this,the paper provides a theoretical and practical reference for planning Chinese social sports development in next century.
